Swelling: Any untoward bleeding, pain, Ora's in your case, swelling, is a red flag being waved by your body that something is very wrong.  Airway swelling (lips, gums) requires immediate investigation.  Please see your GP immediately, or go to Urgent Care.  Your gum swelling may not be related, so a trip to your Dentist is also in order.

See a physician /ER : You may be undergoing a moderate to severe allergic reaction to something.  If you have shortness of breath (breathing difficulty). You must immediately go to the hospital for evaluation and treatment.  Otherwise contact your physician and see if you need to be on any medication.

Allergy: You are having an allergic rxn to something that you either put on the lip on the face or ate. If this is getting worse see a doctor you may need a steroid to settle this down

Must rule out cancer: Must rule out squamous cell carcinoma!  are you in the sunshine state or like to stay out in the sun?  Usually all lesions on the lip should heal within 5 days or at most 1 week.  If the lesion stays longer, please consult your dentist/pathologist!  its (squamous cell carcinoma) occurrence is rare and probably unlikely, but that is the number one lesion that i must rule out in all my patient.

Lip Moisturizers: There are many people who get dry lips at this change of season from warm to cold of Winter and again in the Spring with the return of the warm weather. Lip balms and creams containing Lanolin work will in my experience. Blistex is a commercial brand that makes both a soothing cream and a lipstick-like lip balm. Look at the ingredients and avoid petrolatum as it is drying rather than moisturizing.

300 mg/day: total dose of benadryl (diphenhydramine) from all sources. 75 mg every 6 hours is the maximum that you can take, preferably not to exceed 50 mg / dose. See your doctor if no improvement or getting worse, good luck

SEE A DR!!!: Preferably a skin specialist. When you go, bring with you any meds, vitamins, herbs, pills of any sort that you have used in the past several weeks.

Drug allergy?: These symptoms could be an allergic reaction, possibly atorvastatin, or due to a different drug, if you're taking others; or allergy to something in your environment. Contact your doctor for advice.

Tinea pedis: The most common problem that this might be is athlete's foot with a bacterial infection on top of it (a superinfection). Please see your neighborhood podiatrist for accurate diagnosis and treatment.
