hi, i have recently woke up with a swollen lip. i poped a pimple very close by a few days ago, and i know that i havent hit my lip. could it be infect?

Pimple on lip: Apparantly there is more going on than a simple pimple. This needs to be seen clinically. See your dentist or an oral surgeon for a visual and clinical examination.

Yes: This may be the beginning of a skin infection, a cellulitis, that may need antibiotics for treatment, and could become more serious and systemic without adequate treatment.

Abscess: This would be suspicious for and abscess. Other possibility would be a sebaceous cyst.

Just a thought: might be a HERPES SIMPLEX ("Cold Sore") with infection (thus the pus) Suggest you check this out and in the meantime apply wet compresses and a anti-bacterial ointment (ask Pharmacist for recommendation) If it is herpes more SPECIFIC anti-VIRAL medication may be indicated!

Vaginal bump: bumps on the vaginal lips are common complaints and usually are nothing to worry about.  These include Bartholin's cysts which occur on the lower part of the lips outside of the vagina, Skene's duct cysts which occur on either side of the urethra, sebaceous cyst, clogged sweat glands, genital herpes, human papilloma virus, genital warts.  You should have it checked out by your doctor.

History of cold sore: ? Without a picture it's difficult to know exactly what type of lesions you have. However if you've been exposed to UV light recently, and under a lot of stress, been around lasers or intense light treatments, or have a history of cold sores and exposure to too much sun, you may have a cold sore developing. So you may want to have this further evaluated and seen by your doctor before anything can be prescribed.
