i have really swollen lymph nodes in my neck up by my ears. they are painful and very itchy. its sometimes a little difficult to swallow and i woke up really hot last night. its also making my ears pop. is this something to be worried about?

Sure you need to wor: The swollen lymph nodes are what we call reactive regional lymphadenopathy which indicates an infective process in the head or neck region. Could be tonsillitis or pharyngitis, hence the high fever. You will almost certainly need a course of antibiotics to treat 5he infection but please confirm this with your doctor

Infection, shingles?: This sounds like a skin infection of some sort. It could be a bacterial infection (e.g. staph, strep, etc) but I'm more suspicious of herpes zoster (shingles). See a doctor ASAP. If bacterial, you'll need an antibiotic. If shingles, an antiviral drug (e.g. valacyclovir) needs to be started very soon to have maximum benefit.

Not itchy scalp: Strep throat most commonly causes fever and sore throat. Other possible symptoms are swollen lymph nodes in the neck, stomach ache, headache, vomiting, and rash. Step throat does not cause itchy scalp, cough, runny nose, or diarrhea. You should see your doctor to discover the cause of your symptoms.

See derm: I wonder if your doctor has considered scabies as the cause for your skin problem.  You need to call your doctor or consider consulting a dermatologist.

Multiple: Allergies, upper respiratory infection, and cancer would be considerations.  While cancer would be most worrisome if you were older and smoked, there are some blood cancers that can cause this.  It is very rare.  If the nodes don't go away in a week or so, see your doctor.

i was sick 2 years ago so badly all lymph nodes in neck swelled, one is still swollen but not bad at all. is it calcified. doesn't hurt, can't see it?

Maybe: Sometimes lymph nodes react to infections and when the infection is over they stay enlarged.  If the node is not tender and stable probably nothing to worry about.  You would need some type of Xray to tell if it is calcified. Don't think that is worth he trouble.

Treat the cause: Swollen lymph nodes are usually due to an infection in the area and some times due to tumors such as lymphoma. It is not feasible to know the casue without a history, physical examination and may be lab tests.

Lymph nodes "taste" the lymph for anything bad  like bacteria/viruses/cancers, etc. When it detects a problem, it alerts the immune system and your body reacts.  They enlarge in response to the inflammation they create when they react.  They shrink when all is well.
