Superinfection: I think you are dealing with a superinfection which is a combination of bacterial infection and mycotic infection.  You need to be seen by a physician for culture and sensitivity and blood work.  After the results you can be treated with specific antibiotics and mycotic medication.  You can be placed on broad spectrum antibiotics until the results return.

See a doctor: Put ice on it till you get to the doctor and take an antihistamine like benedryl. You possibly need oral antibiotics. Elevate the foot as much as possible. Tetanus immunization should also be reviewed.

Spider bite: Sounds like a spider bite.  I am not sure what types of spiders are common or poisonous in Australlia.  If poisonous spiders are common around your town, I would visit the doctor.  If you experience severe pain, abdominal cramping, or the bite site begins to open up like a wound, immediately go to the hospital.
