Indefinite: Aside from testicular "shrinkage, " there is atrophy of part of the pituitary gland that makes lh and fsh, which stimulate the testes.  The duration will depend on what steroid you took abd how long.  Earliest, a couple of months, up to six months. 5dht and testosterone are used as a male contaceptive in europe.

How long is "too"  long likely varies from individual to individual as well.  Best not to take it if you don't really need it!
