Will fall of: If you are asking about scab on the abdominal wall ( due to open surgery/ not through the bladder )  most likely you had small collection under the skin which resolved , keep moist dressings the scab will fall off soon  and go to the surgeon for follow up.

When to get checked: Okay to make appointment with your surgeon, who will know best what to advise. In the meantime, use sitz baths, hairdryer to area after bath, and absorbent pads.

: wouldn't worry, but should you develop increased pain, fever,  or bleeding, call your surgeon. Make sure that you follow the post op plans including the proper follow up.

Recovery: Ok to call in to your surgery team office during office hours and ask this question, make sure you have a POST OP appointment. Usually over the counter Benadryl (diphenhydramine) will slow down the itching. Be well.

Call your doctor: Contact your doctor's office for followup. Redressing of the wound along with possible antibiotics may be needed if an infection is present or wound is not healing properly

i have scab from my facial surgery. i've been using vaseline for 2 weeks now but scab is still there. how long should i apply vaseline? should i just leave it alone? im trying to avoid scarring. thanks?

: Unfortunately, scars from injury or even surgery are permanent, and do not change with "vasoline", but on occasion, a plastic surgical approach can make a replacement scar look less obvious.

Possible: Hard to know, but it is possible. Best to have your Moh's surgeon take a look at it. They should see you back if there's a potential problem. Hope this helps!

Call your surgeon: The sutures that your are seeing may be absorbable sutures that "dissolves" over several weeks.  If you have redness, increased pain, fever, or pus like drainage see your doctor right away as you may be getting a wound infection.  As far as the "hole" I would keep this area clean and dry and covered with a sterile gauze.   Do not let moisture get into the wound.  Ask your surgeon!
