Clip ons: If you wear prescription glasses you have a couple of choices other than prescription sunglasses.  First and best performing are magnetic or clip on shades that fit in front of your regular glasses.  Key drawbacks may be glare and they are heavier.  You can also wear "fit overs" which are large sunglasses designed to go over your regular lenses.  See your optician for suggestions.

Sun glasses: Recommended... They will in no way harm your eyes or eyesight.  If you have prescription glasses, get a prescription for sunglasses.

There is no: restriction to the type of glasses you wear. Most people wear glasses all day long without problems. If you are driving at night you should not wear sunglasses but otherwise it is OK.

Eye strain?: Your prescription may be off. Often, an inaccurate prescription will create a pressure sensation, as your eyes try and compensate. I would recommend you have your prescription double checked by your eye doctor.

Transitions: Some patients who find two pairs of glasses inconvenient can use transitions glasses which darken in the sunlight and lighten inside.

Usually not: Sometimes glasses can be buffed but generally, scratches you can feel with you fingernail means the lens needs replacement.

Eclipse glasses: Eclipse glasses are much darker than regular sunglasses- about 100,000 times darker. They are made of a polymer embedded with carbon.  Eclipse glasses  block almost all visible light and all of the ultraviolet (UV) radiation. Standard sunglasses do a pretty good job with UV radiation but only filter less than 20 percent of visible light.

can you please tell me the best possible way to remove scratches from glasses and sunglasses?

Optician : Bring your glasses into an optical shop that has an optician that works there. The optician may be able to finely remove some very superficial scratches. Deeper ones generally are not removed. Good luck.
