Sunburn relief: My grandmother put white vinegar on my sunburn when i was a kid. I was mortified that i would smell like a pickle, but darn it, it took the sting away like magic! i now include it in my sunburn relief regimen, along with Aspirin or Ibuprofen and other pearls of grandmotherly wisdom!.

Not vinegar.: Vinegar will make you smell like a salad, but won't do much of anything for your sunburn. Apply cool washcloths and take Ibuprofen to decrease the pain and inflammation. And please learn the lesson that mr. Sun is trying to teach you; enjoy his warmth and light, but respect his power.

Sunburn redness: Prevention is best remedy. Nsaids & topical corticosteroids have anti-inflammatory properties that may make redness (if not too severe) resolve quickly. Avoid recurrent sunburns as uv skin damage is cumulative over the years.

Yes...: ...It makes you smell like a salad. Does it do anything for the sunburn? No. Sunburn is properly treated like any other burn, with cold compresses and an antiseptic cream such as silvadene (silver sulfadiazine) or bionect. And take this as a warning that mr. Sun is our friend, but we have to respect his power; wear a good sunscreen lotion (spf 50) next time.

Aloe Vera topically: Aloe vera (aloe barbadensis) can reduce redness, pain, itching & swelling from a burn. It has anesthetic, anti-inflammatory & antibacterial / antifungal qualities.  It can speed burn healing by stimulating growth of new skin.  Place cool compresses on the skin. Non-steroidal anti-inflammatories and acetomenophen can be very helpful. Hydrate well and don't peel off any deep layers. Yogurt? Vinegar?

i have a bad sunburn so i put vinegar on my face to help. how can i get rid of the smell?

Will not help: Sunburn is response of the tissues to injury from solar radiation. It is simply inflammation which means increase blood flow to the area to promote healing. Do not use ice as this can injure already injured skin. Cool water soaks can help as can taking anti-inflammation medicines like Motrin or advil (ibuprofen). Avoid any further damage as this can cause scarring . Good skin cream applied daily/gently helps.

None: Douch is never a good idea
some of that water can be retained in vagina causing infection and problems
if you have a problem see a doctor  donot douch
bathing in vinegar has never been done.

Why?: I am not sure that there would be severe side effects but why would you do this?  I assume you are talking about using rubbing alcohol and this is VERY drying. The vinegar is an acid but is at a low strength but again can be drying and will not be helpful for your skin or any open sores. I would strongly reccomend against doing this .

MOSQUITO BITES: Take Benadryl (diphenhydramine) 25 -50 mg to relieve itching every 8 hours. Apply steroid cream to the multiple bites when needed for itching and swelling.
