No real tx: As injured skin heals, the body creates inflammation to do so which means fresh blood goes to the area and with it, many kinds of healing factors and cells.  One type is called melanocytes which carry our skin pigment melanin.  A healing occurs, these cells get deposited int he area and give it the brownish coloration you see.  Over time, there will be some fading as the injury matures.

: Most likely you bruised it at some point and the bruise is resolving.  If it persists for more than a month would have it investigated by your PCP or a dermatologist.

Pts report feeling burning, icy, wet, tingling or other sensations. Make sure to stay out of the sun, apply moisturizing cream that contains aloe, emollient oils, and soothing compounds.

Armpit, or triceps?: Rashes in the armpit are often irritation from anti-perspirants;one can try switching or discontinuing temporarily to see if improves.Clothing,especially if tight,can also cause irritation.If the rash is in the triceps area, but not the armpit, it also could be a patch of eczema,although could also be irritation (contact dermatitis).Best to have it examined to be sure and get the proper treatment.
