i've been having several symptoms and research has been coming up colon cancer as possible cause. type 6 on bristol chart, several months, reflux, constantly pooping, tired, anemic, sulfur poo smell, saw blood once, lots of gas?

: If this is a new, acute problem, it is likely either due to intolerance of a food recently eaten or a viral illness, which usually will resolve quickly. You may try to take liquid antacids such as Mylanta or Tums to see if it will help. If your symptoms persist despite that, see your doctor or a gastroenterologist. Good luck.

Need more fiber: Important to "bulk up" your stools to reduce difficulty having a bowel movement.  Eat fiber rich food and try adding metamucil to your supplements.

Gastroenteritis: Sounds like food poisoning/gastroenteritis.  Try to keep up with fluids (half Gatorade and half water) along with bland diet.  Most of these things get better on their own; however, if vomiting and diarrhea persistsyou will need to see your doctor for tests and/or IV fluids.

Maybe: Gastroenteritis. Start with clear liquid like water, soda that is clear, or sports hydration drinks.  Sip often to prevent dehydration. Work up to solids with bland foods like bananas, rice, applesauce, toast, gelatin, or chicken. Avoid alcohol, nicotine, caffeine, dairy &amp; high fat foods. Rest.

Sulphur smell: That type of flatulence often comes from sulphur containing foods like eggs and certain vegetables. If you can't pinpoint the offending foods in your case,try taking activated charcoal products. Also reduce intestinal gas by avoiding air swallowing or making yourself burp. Lactose intolerance causes excessive gas also. Taking probiotics help some people with this complaint.

: Perhaps you should pursue an upper endoscopy to see if there is anything going on in your esophagus or stomach to cause your symptoms. Abdominal cramping can certainly be due to some abnormality in your stomach. So, see GI again and see if this can be done. Good luck to you!
