does toddler roseola appear on scalp?

Yes: Yes, the rash associated with roseola can appear anywhere on the body, including the scalp.  Typically, the fever has broken by the time the rash appears, and the child is no longer infectious at this time.  The rash itself is not contagious.

Bumps/scalp: It may be that you will be able to find it and reassess it after he has fallen asleep. Most small bumps can be observed to see if they resolve. Sometimes a bump may be related to trauma.Scalps are difficult to assess as there are so many bumps which appear to be swelling, but are part of a normal scalp. Have any swelling that is growing or has an unusual color assessed.

i have what looks like a freckel in my scalp a liitle more orange looking abiut 3mm by 3mm flat, i am having it checked in two weeks, melanoma?

No way: Evenly colored, symmetrical and 3mm is benign.

i had a scalp biopsy. the dermatologist tended to refer to it as a "funny-looking" freckle, but when i pushed the issue, the dermatologist could not rule out melanoma? if it is melanoma, what symptoms might i have now? how is this typically treated?

: It will be known for sure if it's a melanoma when the biopsy result is available. Discuss it with your dermatologist at that time. Good luck.

Itchy Scalp: Seborrheic dermatitis is a common skin condition that mainly affects your scalp. It causes scaly patches, red skin and stubborn dandruff. Seborrheic dermatitis can also affect oily areas of the body, such as the face, upper chest and back. Treatment is with T-gel shampoo and prescription strength cortisone.

Bug bites? Eczema?: Are these itchy?  What is there before the scab?  Neutragena makes a coal tar based shampoo that is very effective and can be used as needed.

is it normal for pimples to appear on the scalp in a straight line?

: If the lesions are on one side &amp; are somewhat uncomfortable and blistering ensues,I would suspect a shingles eruption. Since there's treatment for shingles, I recommend having your physician or dermatologist examine &amp; advise you.
