Floaters: You may have floaters in your eyes.  See an eye physician and have a full exam (slit lamp) they can check for floaters.

Accepted Answer

Floaters: Most likely these ae vitreous floaters or posterio vitreous detachments. Other causes can be retinal tears or detachments. Sometimes retinal vascular issues or infection can also cuase this. You really need to get a full eye exam (dilated) by an eye doctor.

i am getting brown lines/shadows outside the outer corner of both my eyes, on the skin. i have never had that before and only noticed it about 2 days ?

Not a disease: What you described is not a disease. You may wish to sunscreen, however, be careful to use one that does not sting your eyes. For good health - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, low fat milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco, alcohol, weed or street drugs in any form. 
Practice safe sex. 
Get HPV vaccine.

can you be allergic to eye shadow? is there a cure?

Accepted Answer

Yes: We have more than a few patients allergic to cosmetics.  Eye shadow is a less common but real complaint.  Try switching to a hypo allergenic brand and don't forget about other cosmetics such as makeup removers, soaps and lotions.

when my eyes are closed i see black shadows moving together and then apart from each other with intermittent flashes of light in-between. serious?

Accepted Answer

Normal: The eye and brain do not like to have a pattern of incoming information interrupted.  When you close your eyes, the signal diminishes substantially and your normally active eye and brain send internal patterns and signals to compensate.  Don't worry about this and enjoy the show.

Not likely: and sounds like a floater, but if its recent, it needs to be seen by ophthalmologist in next few days.

Flashes ; floaters: The clear gel that fills eyeball is normally attached to all parts of the inside of the eye.  As we get older it can become more liquid (watery) and detaches from the back of the retina causing flashes ; floaters.  This can indicate a retinal tear. As the retina detaches, change or loss in your side vision is the next symptom.   You should see your eye doctor to check the retina.

Start with: An eye exam.  This  could be an eye problem.  Seeing things that aren't there could also be a psychiatric problem.

No: Have him se a pediatric ophthalmologist immediately. You don't live far from NYC. Go to either Eye Institute at Columbia or at Cornell, both world renowned places.

Dark circles: If you're referring to dark circles under your eyes, then its a million dollar question that everyone wants answers to.
It can be a variety of reasons, eg. genetics, lack of sleep, fatigue, not eating well, weight loss.certain medications, getting older, etc.   And they are difficult to treat, depending on the cause.  Obviously do the things you can do, eat healthy, be healthy, sleep adequately...
