Maybe: Check with the gyn md as to the cause of your bleeding first. A d & c is only a temporary expedient to arrest heavy bleeding and "not a cure".

Good choice: An ablation is a great option for people with heavy periods who are finished having children.  I assume you have had a pelvic sonogram already. Fibroids are easy to see on a sonogram. Even if you did have fibroids an ablation is still a reasonable option.

Which pain med: The only thing that could potentially cause more bleeding is anti-inflammatory meds like ibuprofen or naproxen, but in reality we actually use them to DECREASE menstrual bleeding because their effect on decreasing menstruation is more pronounced than causing bleeding.

Several things: Most gyn texbooks devote an entire chapter to menorrhagia(heavy bleeding.) as there are too many things to list here. Have a gyn md evaluate your bleeding which will test him/her on how well they read that gyn books chapter.

Probably: Especially if you just started on it, your body/uterus is being flooded with hormonal stimulation.  Of course, this is the initial affect of lupron (leuprolide).

See GYN: Let the GYN know that on a rare occasion you get heavy bleeding after intercourse.  Depending on the angle of penile insertion, the force, the body positions, etc.  ..intercourse can cause bleeding.  You should get a clinical evaluation by a GYN doctor to diagnose why and where the bleeding may be coming from.  Best wishes.

Note: wishful thinking and "if it's not broke, don't fix." due to not being hurt have been the common causes for delayed diagnosis. This is particularly important for one at 48. See the OBGYN: At most the Espiride would affect this only indirectly.  This is clearly a gynecologic problem.
