Most Likely: You may be allergic to multiple types of Azoles, not just antibiotics.  You should see an allergist for further evaluation.

Allergic reaction: You don't mention what type of allergic reaction you developed to the medication. Hard to tell how to advise you but if you do not feel well, maybe you should go to the er.

im allergic to both flagyl & clindamycin. can i use the naturaal remedies such as peroxide douching or yogurt tampons for bv?

Sorry, won't work: Unfortunately, these won't work. And douching, with peroxide or anything else, is a very bad idea, especially for BV. It can flush bacteria into the tubes and increase the risk of PID. Check with your doctor whether truly allergic and could safely take metronidazole or clindamycin. Vaginal boric acid capsues are another possible option. Best to see a doc highly experienced in BV and infections.

i'm allergic to flagyl and just was recently diagnosed with trich my doctor prescribed me doxycycline 100mg 2x a day for 3 weeks will this work?

Try tinidazole: Doxycycline has been tried in some cases of trich that could not be treated effectively with metronidazole (Flagyl), but it isn't known to be effective. Speak with your doctor about tindazole (Tindamax), a newer drug that is highly effective. As the name implies, it is similar to metronidazole, but most allergic patients can take it without problem.

can i take my 800mg ibuprofen for my chronic migraines? i'm currently taking prednisone for an allergic reaction to flagyl?

Ibuprofen: And oral steroids both increase your risk of developing a stomach ulcer. If you absolutely have to do this, you'll need to take a strong antacid like omeprazole.

can i use doxycycline for diverticulitis? allergic to sulfa and penicillin and unable to tolerate cipro/flagyl. have not tried doxycycline.

Yes, one of the opti: But you should also try to find out whether you are allergic or intolerant to Flagyl or Cipro.  Seek the help of an allergist since diverticulitis tends to recur. and doxycycline may or may not work the next time.

i was prescribed purbac ds and flagyl for an infection on 21.12.17 but developed an allergic rxn to the tx. i have only taken 1tablet but symptoms persist, red blotches over my legs as well as on my abdomen. what should i do. took texa allergy. ?

Call your doctor!: You need to call your doctor who can treat your allergy symptoms and treat your infection.  Please do it ASAP (as  soon as possible).  If you have lip or throat swelling, shortness of breath or anything else scary, please go to the ER right away.

Clindamycin: There are other antibiotics to use, such as clindamycin, for group a streptococcus throat infections. I am concerned about how many antibiotics you are already allergic to. Given your young age it might be worth seeing an infectious diseases specialist and/or allergist to determine what antibiotic options you have before the time you really need them.
