i had x-rays for chronic lower back pain. report says moderate right facet hypertrophy is present at l5-s1. mild narrowing of the l5-s1 disc is noted. i also had x-rays of my knee which said lateral patellar subluxation. how can they help me?

Orthopedic surgeon: Your patella(kneecap) slides out of place but doesn't dislocate. Nevertheless this indicates some degree of instability which I feel should be evaluated by an orthopedic surgeon who will advise you about treatment options. You have some osteoarthritis of your spine and some mild degenerative disc disease which may cause some back issues. These spinal findings are rather common.

i have peroneal tendon subluxation and the only problem right now is this popping sound from that area. how can i cure this one symptom?

Surgery: popping sensation is the two tendons moving either out or moving on top of each other. Surgery is needed to repair the groove that they normally ride in. If you ignore it you may tear or rupture the tendons.

Accepted Answer

Purpose is to rest.: The wrist brace is meant to help your wrist rest. Subluxations of the ECU (extensor carpi ulnaris) are often accompanied by inflammation &amp; pain of the tendon (from sports injury or from rheumatoid arthritis). The wrist brace is an "external tendon", holds the wrist in place, less strain on the tendon, allowing it to heal. If tendon recovers, sublux may as well. See Hand Surgeon/Ortho. Use HT Prime

Yes: Those conditions happened in the same area and your spine surgeon will take x-ray and MRI to see to see if you have this condition? And advise accordingly.

Popping not serious: Subluxations are near joint dislocations and usually painful.  Painless popping is usually just ligaments snapping or air pockets popping.

Both: Start with the chiropractor especially if the pain has be going on for less than a month.  If the pain does not improve, see a pain specialist for more definite treatment.
