Likely okay: Keep the area clean. Apply the cream 2-3x/d as needed &amp; minimize penile use (just pee) &amp; this should heal easily in a week or so. Get in for an evaluation if the area seems to become red/swollen/painful.

Healing time: It will take 1-2 weeks for your vision to return completely to normal.

Sex abrasion: Assuming the burning is  slight and superficial, you may be right. If burning on urination, it may be UTI. If burning lasts more than a day or so, see your provider to exclude infection.
 I like 'no treatment' when a minor problem will get better on its own. Use soap and water to keep the area clean.
 Prevention with OTC lubes is pretty obvious advice and may enhance the experience anyway.

i developed an abrasion on my penis from masturbating with out lubricant. ive used neosporin yesterday but then remembered i have mupirocin ointment from a doctor for a previous skin infection on my arm. is mupirocin better or only for infection?

: mupirocin is an antibiotic used for infection. Suggest you use something like aquaphor healing ointment, which would serve both purposes as a healing cream and lubricant. It is available w/o Rx

Foreskin?: Are the tears in the foreskin?  If so, you may want to avoid sex until they heal, and you also may need a circumcision.

Possible scaring: When skin injuries go deep into the skin, past the dermal/epidermal junction  which is between these 2 layers , then scaring will occur.   I have notice that individuals are different in their tendency to scar and to what extent.  Some things you can try to prevent or lessen the effects of scarring are mederma, vitE oil, aloe, cocoa butter, or scar reducing kits.
