after swimming in the public swimming pool i have a strange feeing in my nose, like if i am getting ill with flu. i have no cough or fever, no pains, just feels as if my nose deep inside is filled with pus. but nothing comes out. it stays for 3-4 day?

: Use saline nasal drops for a few days. If still the same feeling pl see an ENT doc. I dont think you have anything filled with pus.

Lice Don't Swim: Head lice live only on human beings. Can be spread quickly by using the hat, comb, or towel of infected person or  by close contact. May crawl or fall onto clothing, bedding, towels, furniture, pool.Don't survive off body >24hr.Anyone can get lice despite frequent hairwashing. The nits (eggs) normally hatch into lice in about 1 week. Do not carry other diseases, no lasting health consequences.

No: This sounds like an abrasion injury/rash caused by your pool games.  This should resolve in time.  You may try using topical antibiotic creams to prevent infection.  Keep, it clean, rest it, and let it heal in time.  Best wishes.

i got off zoloft (sertraline) 2 weeks ago. my head feels very woozy like it is in a swimming pool. i also have a lot of head pressure. is this normal with getting off zoloft (sertraline)?

the past saturday i got injured while diving into a swimming pool(hit my head). i have minor bruises on my face and i have some neck and shoulder pain. my main concern is that ive been having pins and needles on both my hands especially fingers. ?

Consult neurosurgeon: May need neck MRI or xrays as well as physical neurologic exam to rule out spinal nerve injury. Good Luck.

Chlorine irritation: Chlorine is irritating to the parts of our bodies, and can depend on how sensitive our living tissues are to the chemical, and how high the concentration of chlorine is. A true allergy to chlorine refers to reactions of chlorine with our immune systems (think of hay fever, dust allergy, food allergy). One can try allergy meds, but they may not help much if chlorine is directly irritating tissues.

i have an allergic reaction (nasal congestion, sneezing) after swimming in fresh water (lake or river) when water gets into my nose/eyes, but not in the ocean. what can i do to reduce avoid a reaction, but still be able to swim?

Antihistamine pill +: Antihistamine pill such as cetirizine or loratadine 1 or 2 a day. Also steroid nose spray such as flutacasone once a day.

Several OTC's avail: There are several products available over the counter, both systemic and topical antihistamines and/or decongestants.  Other products are available by prescription only.

Absolutely: Yes it can. Crying in general can lead to a stuffy nose that clears as the tears stop and the mucous membranes return to normal.

Depends: On the reason for a stuffy nose.. But the best home remedy is salt water nose drops. Just rinsing the nose with saline helps decrease stuffiness and reduces swelling of the mucous membranes. It is safest to get over the counter nose drops like little noses or ayr or ocean nose drops.
