i usually overthink a lot which causes stress.and i keep getting aphthous ulcers frequently. docs of healthtap have written to take one bcomplex everyday for ulcers. i should take with or without zinc? and for how long?3months,6months,1year?

Experiment and relax: If you have found that a combination of particular medications produce relief, and you can't reduce the stress,  keep going with what works.  You might want to reduce the dosage and frequency. Aphthous ulcers are stress related so stressing about is not going to help, but eliminating the cause of stress will probably help a lot.

noticing hair loss. 40 f. thyroid, dhea-s, testosterone, zinc, b12 normal. miscarriage last yr, but derm. says not cause. puzzled- can it be stress?

Look Simple First: Stress can cause hair loss. You listed a lot of tests, but few basic ones. Iron def is an often overlooked cause and may be one the most common. You don't have to have anemia but low iron, simp blood test. Preg or early preg loss. OCPs. Menopause. Thyroid dz. Other B vit def. (biotin). Sig wt loss. PCOS. Meds. Low estrogen.  In male pat levels not always high. consid bx. Basic w/u 1st. PCP 1st.

i am having severe pain on back of my head whenever i get stressed by some work or after some tiring journey. what medication should i take?

Headache: You need to see your doctor for an examination to determine the cause of the headache.  E.G. You may have high blood pressure or some other ailment that requires treatment.

If there's an: Anxiety disorder then medications like selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors  or Buspar (buspirone) can be helpful.  I don't usually recommend medication if the only issue is stress. Lifestyle changes can be helpful for both. Talking therapy ranks really high. Cognitive behavioral therapy can be quite effective. Aim for daily exercise, 8 hours of sleep per night ; good nutrition with 5 servings of veggies ;.

Stress headaches: For "constant stress headaches, " please see your physician for evaluation & help with their cause.  There are over the counter medicines like aleve, tylenol, (acetaminophen) etc that can be used; also some find peppermint herbal compresses on the forehead helpful.  Ideally, explore & deal with your stress triggers with a therapist --  no meds needed, and what you learn serves you for a lifetime!  be well.

Just eat healthy: but if you want a pill try Periactin (cyproheptadine hydrochloride)

^ BP reading: Being significantly stressed or panicking can lead to an increase in Blood pressure - that does not mean it is abnormal.

i have been regular all my life and now im 8 days late but got 2 negative results 2 days ago. i havent gone through weight changes, stress, no health problems at all, dont take any medication. what might be wrong?

Need more info: If you are a person whose menstrual cycle is very regular and suddenly it has stopped, we need to think about causes. Oral/IM contraceptives, pregnancy, stress, nutritional deficiencies, weight loss, excessive exercise, eating disorders, excessive weight gain, uterine polyps, ovarian cysts and mental health medications can all cause irregular periods. If you are concerned, see a DR. for evaluation

Exercise, meditation: Aerobic exercise, meditation/relaxation techniques, biofeed back, calming/soothing teas such as chamomile or lavender may help.
Ask family/friends to help with your chores. Find time for yourself.
If these fail, consult doc/psychiatrist for some therapy etc...

i am unable to deal with stress in my life and have tried a lot of different methods. i don't want to take medication. i am feeling hopeless.

Need therapy: You may benefit from working with a psychotherapist who can help you learn to deal with your stress.  Psychotherapy can also help with depression & hopelessness -- but if you have a full-blown major depressive episode, medications may still be suggested.  The therapist would not be able to prescribe them, but starting there would be a reasonable path to getting well.  Good luck.
