Stress can affect: Eczema.  The stress response prepares for action by activating the autonomic nervous system & numerous hormones.  Stress can cause muscle tension, cold hands & feet, increased heart rate, rapid and shallow breathing, stomach upset, headaches, dry mouth, increased sweating, mind racing, & insomnia.  Chronic stress decreases immune functions & contributes to numerous illnesses.  Learn stress mgt.

Stress and eczema: Eczema is an inflammatory  skin disorder.  But the driving force is dryness and itching that cause it to become inflamed.   Stress should not increase it.

Moisturize!: The cornerstone of treatment for atopic dermatitis, or eczema, is moisturizing the inflamed skin tissue.  This cannot be stressed enough. Use a fragrance-free, dye-free moisturizer several times daily. For particularly inflamed, itchy, or red areas, use a steroid like hydrocortisone or a prescription from your doc.  Be diligent to monitor and treat every day, and you will likely improve quickly!

is it possible for complex carbohydrate intolerance to develop from a "healthy" vegetarian diet and high stress levels? does it affect eczema?

Stress: Stress affects eczema, foods rarely in adult affect eczema, it is mostly a pediatric disease. See an allergist and get tested to get some answers if you are allergic to any food.

No picture???: Appears like acne ! Avoid greasy oily foods.drink lot of water.avoid caffeine./chocolate.

Perioral dermatitis: See a dermatologist for a full history and physical, make sure it is eczema you are dealing with. Avoid potent topical steroids on the face, best to use 1% hydrocortisone or topical tacrolimus on the face for steroid responsive dermatoses. Avoid triggers and see dermatologist for more information please and good luck!

Mental Health: It sounds like you need to make some decisions. You need to find another job that is less stressful, or you can seek the help of a mental health professional to learn some new ways of coping with stress.  There are medications that can help with persistent anxiety, but they don't get at the underlying problem.
