hello i have had genital warts on and off for years. had some removed and the others disappeared after time. they are back again and a lot more why is that? 15 years off and on. shaving cause it? stress? is it bc i didnt have them removed each time?

: Your partner may need to see her GYN physician to check for HPV virus.  Onset after many years usually requires a new source of viral infection.

: First, make sure your apparent recurrent warts are truly warts, i.e. professionally diagnosed. Assuming they are warts:  delayed recurrence is not all that rare and usually there is no known cause; it appears to be random. Although nobody wants warts, this shouldn't be such a big deal; just have them treated again and try to view this as an inconvenience, not a serious health problem. Good luck.

Try Duct Tape: Some warts can be removed by placing duct tape pieces cut out to the size of the wart, and keeping the wart covered for several weeks.  Replace the tape daily and gently scrub the wart off as it softens, and then replace the tape.
