Yes: During stressful episodes, floaters can appear more prominent. However, this may not represent and permanent change or dangerous condition. After proper rest, if the floaters persist they should be evaluated an trained eyecare professional for any possible change in medical condition of the eyes.

Stress doesn't cause: Floaters, common in older agers, is caused natural changes in the vitreous fluid in the back of the eye, accelerated by trauma and more common in myopes.  Stress has no effect on this, although the appearance of floaters is sometimes stressful.

Coincidence: Floaters are caused by tissue debris  in the fluid spaces in the eye in front of the retina.  They are not caused by stress or emotions.  Trust you ophthalmologist, he/she is correctly advising you.

i have eye floaters and high myopia. due to some emotional issues in family i get stress and anxiety often. and i have heard that it make eye floaters worse or any other eye related problems. is that true?

: Stress will not worsen floaters however as a high myope you should have a dilated retinal exam to determine if the floaters are harmful or not.  Yearly dilated exams should be done.

Debris in back of ey: Floaters are debris, usually from eye renewal or condensations of the vitreous gel which fills the back of the eye.  If they are located in the axis of vision, they may be seen in certain circumstances as floating objects in space like flying insects.  If they appear suddenly or there are many or you have light flashes associated, then see your ophthalmologist immediately.

The Vitreous: The vitreous is composed of a clear liquid called hyaluronic acid and fibers called collagen. As we age the vitreous becomes less solid and the collagen fibers become more visible (synuresis). The spots you see are these collagen fiber clumps. They do not cause harm to the eye, they just get in the way. If they are very prominent and reduce visual function  they can be removed with a vitrectomy.

Floaters: The vitreous degenerates with normal aging.  Floaters/ debris occurs as it turns from a formed, to a fluid state.  You should ideally be examined by an ophthalmologist or a retinal specialist  when you have new floaters.
