Perhaps: For susceptible individuals many medications can cause some tolerance and withdrawal. 
The medicine does not have to be "addictive" for this to occur.

Around 40 - 48 hours: as it clears completely from your system in 1 or 2 days, but for either make sure to follow up with your docor if taking them long term, and read the labels carefully, best wishes

Palpitations!: Very, very uncommon side-effect. I have never seen it. Have your doc make sure you don't have another issue (thyroid), or switch to once daily diclofenac ER 100mg! If you no issues with the switch, it probably was the meloxicam!

Yes: There is no need to taper off the medication. However, if you were taking it for arthritis pain, the pain may return when you stop, it.

Equivalent: The risks are very similar  however, if you are only taking Arcoxia only every 4 days it is the safer agent.

A few days...: After about 3 days your body should have metabolized most of the mobic (meloxicam)...Just don't have too much, or your stomach and liver will be hyper-functioning...

: It is not ideal to be on this medicine long term without clear indication. Benefit must exceed the known risks to the stomach lining and cardiovascular system. This doesn’t mean we don’t use it, you just have to be aware of the risks and benefits.

: Your wife is not taking any medication which I mentioned in the previous comment. 
Does she take Baclofen, Cyclobenzaprine, Turmeric, Meloxicam and Magnesium just for the cramping? That means she was already evaluated by a doctor. What's his (her) thought about the cause?
Except Keppra, I would advise to stop the above med one by one, especially Meloxicam which can can cause gastroduodenal ulcer.
