i've had some constipation yesterday and today green regular stool then later very mucus-filled solid but in small pieces stool. is this something i need to be concerned about and see a doctor over? stool color dark army man green?

: What you described is not a cause for concern. You may take a fiber laxative like Metamucil and drink enough water daily so that your urine is colorless. For the long term you may try to increase your intake of fiber foods. Consult this site for fiber foods.

Water + laxative: See if you can increase your intake of water and fiber in your diet. For the latter, you may take a laxative like Metamucil. The movement in your intestine is normal passage of gas.

epsom salt laxative ok while taking bactrim (sulfamethoxazole and trimethoprim) & cephalexin?also,is it normal for these meds to cause constipation? i quit smoking & soda this week also.

Constipation: The laxative is OK and it is a little unusual for these antibiotics to produce constipation. They usually give the opposite

Yup: It's w/drawal effect. A week or 2 should be all but read this and try the ideas. Modify diet, drink more water and do breath pattern of smoking w/o the cigarette since that is a very good pattern for relaxation. The mouth blow exhale especially! Try his book for it: If you both were pleased with his help on smoking, continue with his ideas on alcohol. Why switch from a winning strategy? The size of the glass matters of course and the issue of compulsion does too. So does her size, activity level, consumption w/ food, etc. But read his book - it's available to buy online. Best

Not Much: Every smoker that's not in a cave knows it isn't good for them & if they say they want to stop but don't, they aren't ready to stop. They will stop when they decide they want to. Trying to talk to them or convince them to stop is more likely to cause problems between you since she will feel she needs to pick one of you and you won't win. You can make it clear she cannot smoke in your car or home.
