: You need a doctor to examine  the bumps to determine what they are. There are many possibilities like a skin abscess or a cyst or lipoma, etc. If your doctor cannot determine what these are, , you could see a dermatologist. Once a diagnosis is made, they can be treated, if needed. Good luck!

A FURUNCLE (BOIL)

Need to see...: ... in order to diagnose.  Without seeing the area of concern, it is impossible to know what to think it is.  A pimple is still certainly a possibility; however, one also thinks of a cold sore (herpes virus) as another possible cause. If not improving and you are worried - see your doctor so they can give an actual diagnosis.

been having slight throbbing pain in the back top left hand side of my head, it comes and goes also have 3 or 4 pimples on the back of my head on that?

2  separate problems: 1. Possible migraine. Any migraine must be viewed as a valid medical disorder and the headache assessment must be comprehensive. Once a diagnosis of migraine has been made, effective management of migraine should be initiated.
2. Scalp pimples could be hormone or stress related. If concerned see your PCP for evaluation.

Pimple: Probably infected. Apply hot compresses. get Rx for Clindamycin

Yes: Can be related to Acne pimple or other possible infection. Using topical acne cream twice a day along with hot compress several times a day may help. If no improvement or worse in the next 2 to 3 days, see your doctor for evaluation.

No one is immune: While teenagers are more prone to getting "pimples" or acne due to hormonal changes affecting the environment of the skin, it is still possible and common for older people to get this - if keeping the skin clean and over the counter remedies (and time) don't resolve the problem then a primary care doctor or dermatologist can offer other remedies that may help ie. Antibiotics etc.

Scientific Rx: If topical benzoyl peroxide as tolerated has not cleared you in two weeks, or you have scarring or lesions on your trunk now, get with your personal physician who can add something to your topical Rx. Ignore everything you read on the internet about acne. Best wishes.

Scientific Rx: If two weeks on over-the-counter benzoyl peroxide doesn't clear you, get with your physician. You may be a rx for a topical retinoic acid derivative, the oral contraceptive pill (if you're female), topical clindamycin, a systemic antibiotic such as tetracycline, or a dermatology referral for possible isotretinoin. All acne is manageable today; it's not a hygiene or lifestyle problem. We can help.
