Talking to Doctors: I am sorry to report but you must be much more descriptive or specific. What do you mean specifically by stomach area? What kind of pains? What other symptoms occur. When do they occur? What else can you be specific about?

Constipation: Constipation due to insufficient fluids, and fibre in the diet is the most common cause of simple non surgical abdominal pain. It is relieved with stooling and not usualy associated with other symptoms like nausea and vomiting. If these other symptoms present have her checked out.

Suggestions work up: The symptom of stomach pain may be caused by a number of conditions. It depends on the findings, but some of the testing that can be discussed includes an upper gi, hepatitis screening, and CF sweat test. Infectious colitis: That is typically a self limited disease that gets better after a period of time. Occasionally, the infection disrupts the nerve conduction to the gut and you are left with an irritable bowel. See your primary or GI doc to make sure that you don't have any other pathology such as celiac or crohns disease. i have stomach pains in the left part of my abs when i work out.  i had mono last year.  could it be back? if my mono came back could my spleen be at risk

Infectious : Infectious mononucleosis is most often caused by the epstein barr virus (ebv) and 90% of people have been exposed by age 35.  Most people only ever get mono once, though in very rare cases the symptoms can recur months or years after the initial infection.  Once you are infected with ebv, the virus lies dormant in the body, periodically reactivating and shedding through saliva.  Most people are not sick or feel any symptoms when this happens unless they are immunocompromised such as with HIV or on transplant medications.

If you are experiencing the signs and symptoms of mono such as
-sore throat
-fever
-enlarged lymph nodes
-fatigue and weakness
-loss of appetite
you should contact your doctor since there are many other illnesses that have similar symptoms to mono.

Left sided stomach pains without any other symptoms are unlikely recurrent mono and if these symptoms persist, you should speak with you doctor.

Is it consistent: Is  it consitent? Is it in one place? What is the nature of it -- sharp, dull, stabbing, crampy? See a GI doc if it persists.

See your doctor: You can certainly repeat your test if you are talking about a pregnancy test - otherwise see your doctor if symptoms are persisting.
