hemotogist doesnt want to treat hemochromatosis. 53 yof  newly dx ferritin 247 (15-150 ng/ml) im fatigued, hair loss,stomach pain. is it wrong to try and pull blood just to see if symptoms improve? she says not till ferritin is over 500. why?

Hemochromatosis &amp; Fe: Ferritin is also a reactive protein which can be activated by infection, inflammation, or others. In most cases, ferritin alone is not  used to diagnose iron overload. Iron overload is diagnosed when transferrin saturation &gt; 45% along with elevated ferritin. Your very small elevated ferritin is unlikely the cause for your symptoms. Therefore, phlebotomy will not be helpful.

Doesn't matter: Propecia (Finasteride) can be taken with or without food. Try to take the medicine at the same time each day.

Murad: Unfortunately, there have been numerous posts in murad forum with murad side effects. Murad may cause common unpleasant side effects of acne products:
dandruff, 
rash, 
dryness, 
skin irritation and itching, 
headaches, 
increased sunburn susceptibility, 
nail abnormalities, 
nausea, diarrhea, 
and others.

had a miscaiage over a month ago with epideral  ever since been gettong worse headaches back pain walking into.things loss of hair stomach pain?

Speak with GYN: If you had an epidural then a wet tap complication is possible but you need to discuss with your gyn and the anesthesiologist. A wet tap is where the needle causes a small leak of spinal fluid and lead to headaches and some back pain.  Does not cause hair loss but that can be hormonal changes after the pregnancy.  See your gyn for more detailed info.

can acid reflux or ibs cause hair loss or thinning? everytime i eat my stomach starts gurgling and i have to burp but i noticed my hair is thinning?!

Probably not but...: Stress can cause an increase in IBS symptoms and reflux and also a thinning of the hair.  Another possible cause would be thyroid problems.  If you've had significant weight change, depression, constipation or other symptoms you should discuss thyroid disease with your doctor.

i just started nutrafol for hair loss but just read that one of the ingredients l-methionine can cause liver toxicity and heart problems. i am having mild stomach cramps. should i be concerned about taking it and the ingredients that could harm me?

: Since supplements like this are not investigated by the FDA, most physicians do not endorse them. Perhaps your pharmacist has much information about this product.

Eye Floaters: Generally eye floaters are normal phenomenon and caused by small moving parts in your field of vision and are considered benign, though they may be annoying at times.
Eye floaters can be a sign of a more serious condition, needing  immediate medical attention if you notice a sudden increase in the number of eye floaters.Things to consider would be retinal detachment or tears, internal bleeding etc

Get seen: You're on medications and you're probably also stressed -- perhaps a difficult life situation from which you're working hard to escape long-term. This can precipitate telogen effluvium. You're old enough now to phone your physician on your own and get seen, if need be for a dermatology consult and perhaps a thyroid function screen.
