Accepted Answer

Gulping: Along with the water, you are probably drinking in lots of air which makes the gurgling sound as your stomach churns.  If this bothers you, then you will have to drink more slowly and evenly.  There is no harm from either pattern of fluid ingestion.

can green tea (with caffeine) cause stomach gurgling, gas, and stomach aches? after drinking it everyday for a couple days? thought it would help me.

Drinking more than: 3 cups of green tea per day can lead to significant side effects for some. Overdose of Green Tea (usually extract) may lead to irritability, insomnia, irregular or rapid heart rate, muscle twitching, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, abdominal cramps, liver damage, trouble breathing, dizziness, fever, confusion, hallucinations, diuresis, seizures, loss of consciousness &amp; even death.

when i gulp air or drink or eat, within a few secs, i hear left side of the stomach gurgling. happens often, esp when hv anxiety episodes. stool daily, always long but sometimes a bit softer than usual. is there a blockage in my colon causing sound?

: Rest assured, if there were a blockage, you would not be having normal BMs. The gurgling may result from the air you have swallowed or from liquids moving. Try to gulp less air, and chew your food thoroughly. Gas from foods can be relieved with OTC gas relievers.

surgery last week and was taking oxycontin motrin augmentin & medrol. i got the most painful indigestion in my middle upper abdomen, loud belching (more after eating or drinking) & loud gurgling. pepcid helps a lot but what else should i do?

: You may be dealing with medication induced gastritis. These medications can be taken with food but not on an empty stomach. Continue pepcid. Avoid alcohol,caffeine. spicy and greasy foods. If you note bloating from gas, take simethicone 1/2 hour after meals &amp; at bedtime. Notify your MD if not improved.

Slightly flattened : Ginger ale is more likely to help than sprite.  Probably the simplest way to reduce nausea ; stomach upset is with ginger. You can drink slightly flattened ginger ale or nibble on crystallized ginger. Or pour boiling water over freshly sliced organic ginger ; steep x 5 min in a covered pot. Sip.

Ginger: Sip slightly flattened gingerale or ginger tea which has cooled. Nibble on crystalized ginger. Camomille can also be calming.

Pains are not normal: Pain is not normal and pain is the reason you would seek out an evaluation with your doctor. The way you describe your pain leaves open almost every single possible reason for pain. Thus any further advice would be pure speculation. Please go see your physician.

Change the question: Perhaps the question should be how can i stop eating or drinking a ton because i feel bloated. You like feel bloated because you ingested too much at one time.

Accepted Answer

Possibly due to the: Carbonic  acid.  If it is diet soda, it could be related to aspartame.
