Likely this is fine-: Most likely this is the continuing loose stools that can happen after AGE.  As long as there is no blood, mucus or clay color, this may last for 7-10 days.

Depends: Everyone is different, and react to illnessess differently too.  The norovirus is more virulent, and may cause you to be feeling week for 3-7 days.  If you are generally healthy, keep your fluids and electrolytes up, slowly get back to a normal diet, and you should start feeling better in the next day or two.  If not beter after 7 days, see your dr. For an evaluation to be safe.  Good luck.

No: If there is no vomiting or diarrhea I would not consider it to be the stomach flu. However, it does seem that your stomach is upset about something, whether it be excess acid or some kind of bug that's just not making you throw up or have diarrhea. If it continues a few more days I would recommend you get the advice and exam from your doctor. Best wishes.

Clear fluids: Try resting consuming only clear fluids such as gatorade and chicken broth. Try tylenol (acetaminophen) for the headache.

: Pain in the right upper quadrant after meal often leads us to the suspicion of gallbladder issues, notably gallstone(s). This pain is likely not related to the viral gastroenteritis you had 2 weeks ago or side effect of probiotics but I could not rule out entirely because I hate to make the diagnosis of 2 different GI conditions in a short period of time. Why don't you hold probiotics for now?

Stomach flu: This is an incredibly non-specific lay term that has very little meaning to a diagnostician. It is often used to allay patients concerns when a specific causative agent cannot be clearly identified. If you have GI symptoms which persist beyond 3-5 days you should see a doctor.

my husband threw up 6 times in one night no diarrhoea no fever no medication no alcohol. would this be food poisoning or stomach flu? he was fine the next day. its been three days can he mix with the rest of the house now? ive had him in isolation?

: It could have been either food poisoning or a viral infection but after 3 days of feeling well, it is likely ok to stop isolation. If no one else got sick yet, you probably won’t get sick. Practice good hand hygiene and you should be all set. Glad he’s feeling better!

my wife and kids have been throwing up and have diarreha off and on for the past 24-36 hours.  thinking they have some sort of stomach flu/ virus.  is there anything they can take or do?  and, what can i take to ensure i don't get it?  thanks.

Sounds like it: You're likely correct.  For a stomach virus, it's important to maintain hydration (water, sports drinks) and eat a very bland diet as tolerated. Look up the "BRAT" diet. Certainly avoid dairy.  As long as there's no fever, it's ok to use loperamide (Imodium) to suppress symptoms. Wash hands frequently and don't share food/glasses etc. See a doc if dehydration or 3 days without improvement.
