Any: Any insect bite that has red dots associated with it has shown what is called a "local inflammatory reaction" which is the body's normal response to the bite and is likely related to the insect's saliva or mild venom which may or may not be of concern.  If the area enlarges over 2-3 days, becomes painful (as opposed to itchy), starts to ooze, it may have become infected.  If so, seek care.

See doctor: You may be having either of two, bug bite  or swollen lymph node near collarbone . But lymph node may be painful to touch and warm while bug bite may be red ,slightly swollen.Your health provider will be able to decide and treat you as needed

2 y/o with vomiting and fever. vomiting stopped 2 days ago but fever remains and is high while sleeping. no other symptoms but bug bite on arm. whiny.

Check hydration: Make sure your little one stays hydrated with Pedialyte or other pediatric rehydrant.  Vomiting + fever can mean trouble if they persists.  If wet diapers significantly decrease (1-2in, tender or draining.  This would be a sign that the bite needs further care.

had a bug bite on ankle 4 weeks ago while on east coast in a wildlife area (no high grass).   no rash or other symptoms. worthwhile to test for lyme?

Bugbite: The incubation period for Lyme's can extend to 30 days. Since you are symptom free, you shouldn't have a problem but for your peace of mind it can't hurt to be tested.

what doctor should i see about a roundish semi-soft lump under the skin just below the earlobe behind the jaw? noticed it 3 days ago, and thought it was a non-itchy bug bite. it seems bigger now, and the area around there is achy. no other symptoms?

: See a skin specialist (Dermatologist) for initial evaluation.   The skin specialist may biopsy it, remove it completely or refer you to ENT (Ear-Nose-Throat specialist).

Sounds like allergy: especially if Benadryl (diphenhydramine) helped, however, if the symptoms are returning, you should most likely be seen in your nearest ER.  They can assess your vital signs and determine if stronger meds are needed!

See pediatrician: This requires a doc visit, as there may be more to this problem than a simple stye. Regardless, it needs to be resolved to stop her suffering as well.

Most important principle is to prevent the bite becoming a source of skin infection (cellulitis):  clean 2-4 x daily, ice the swelling, apply anything to prevent scratching the itch.
