Bunions can cause these types of pains. It depends on how severe the bunion is if you possible irritated it recently. If you notice that certain movements of your big toe make it worse or cause the bee sting sensation, probably it could be the bunion causing some ligament strain in your foot. Hope this helps. my dog scratched my toe (with nail). noblood nopain. didnt sting when i applied alcohol. 2 hours later i felt a stinging sensation. i got anti rabies shots april 2020. doc said i dont need boosters (didnt even look at scratch). do i need boosters?

Get X-ray : Big toe fractures and 'sprains '( ' turf toe') are fairly common. If your ' stinging' continues see an Orthopedic Surgeon for evaluation.If the fracture extended into the joint ( as in any joint) you may be developing early arthritis . Treatment early can be fairly 'easy' w/ NSAIDs/ turf -toe liners, etc. Get an X-ray and get examined! Best of Luck!
