See below: If you are not sure what type of insect stung or bite  you and your hand is not getting better i would immediately go to a clinic for an evaluation. Some insect bites particularly spiders can have lead to a severe infection to the soft tissue . Get it checked out good luck thank you.

i have thigh pain usually while sitting at work all day.  this just started off/on recently.  scale 1-10 about a 3 or 4. what causes it?

Hip rotation/spasm: Sitting all day, it's the new american sickness.  Our bodies were simply not meant to sit.  Unfortunately for those of us that have to, that usually means that over time, we will develop pain.
You can see an osteopathic doctor (do) who practices omt, or a chiropractor who can do hip manipulation.
In addition, muscle relaxers from your doc may help.  Heat, stretching, getting up will help.  G'luck!

Ortho or neuro: What your describing could be just musculoskeletal, but if petsists, could be from disc in back with "sciatica".  Should see either ortho/ neuro/neurosurgeon

ANS: you most likely stained your Sartorius muscle the longest one in the body.  Google it and see if it fits. Called the tailor's muscle. Sit, turn your leg that hurts so you can see the bottom of your foot. If it hurts more that is likely it.
