Arthritis: Hand and finger stiffness is commonly associated with arthritis.  Rheumatoid arthritis can make people more prone to nerve entrapments.  Peripheral neuropathy is also something to consider.  You should be evaluated by a neurologist and may also need to see a rheumatologist.

Need to examine: What you described suggests carpel tunnel syndrome. It would be prudent to see your doctor for an assessment and to ascertain if you might need surgery.

This coupled with the skin's sensitivity to the sun (photosensitivity) brings up the possibility of lupus erythematosus. It is an autoimmune disease (the body attacks itself) that is treatable. See your doctor and tell him/her the symptoms exactly as you did above.
