Steroid: I think the steroid shot would give you faster relief in the si joint, i'm not too sure injecting the pubis would serve much benefit.

Possibly: Bear in mind that not any imaging study is 100%.   Tear could still be there. But maltracking a thought. See orthopedic.

See below: You report the pain is your right groin---it could be from your back but could also be in your hip or knee and even more unusual it could a hernia since you are mentioning groin pain.  Talk to your doctor.  Hope that helps.

i have a large lump on my right toe.  it is on the underside of the foot.  they think it is in my joint.  tried a steroid shot 3 weeks ago and no pain?

Foot pain: If this steroid shot gave no relief, I recommend an ultrasound and/or an x-ray to better evaluate the bone, and other structures.  You also try an anti-inflammatory medication.  If concerned I would see a rheumatologist and would be happy to do a consult if needed.

stubbed 4th toe july. saw dr nov. xray and mri ok. steroid shot didn't work. ball area feels swollen when walking. joint at top painful/sharp to pressure. metatarsal pad helps some. what could it be? dr says next is pain management. other options?

Crps: THIS SOUNDS LIKE CRPS - VERY LOCALIZED- YES SEE PAIN MANAGEMENT BUT IN THE INTERIM TRY GABAPENTIN, MEDROP DOSEPAK, TOPICAL CBD LOTION.

Muscle pain: is related to many conditions and ALS is very far down on that list.  Please see your doctor.  He/she may refer you to a specialist or for physical therapy.  Peace and good health.

Yes: Local injections in the skin are common, done by dermatologists or internists/p. Deeper injections done by ortho.

Can be: It can be done and may help if the joint is significantly inflamed.  If anybody would do that procedure it would probably be a podiatrist.
