: no. But consider the broad range of infections that can pass with the swap of intimate fluids. You do not pass/gain a "STD" or any other illness you do not have but there are a range of other illnesses that can be acquired without sexual contact &amp; pass that way. The flu, forms of hepatitis, mono, etc.

STD testing: An infection in the cervix could be picked up very quickly- 1 week. Blood testing for something likes syphilis could take 4-6 weeks to show up. You should get cervical cultures done and discuss retesting with your doctor.

If u are monogamous: And sure of the situation, you are having protected sex, u are using the pill.  There are few std's for which semen will make a difference, one is hiv, everything else, mostly, u can get with or without ejaculation.  You are taking pill faithfully, i wouldn't be too worried if you and your partner are neg for std's.

STD: Yes, the tests are accurate, but may need to be repeated, particularly if you are concerned about HIV, syphilis, and so on. : Bacteria vaginosis BV does increase risk of acquisition of STD only if your partner has STD that could be transmitted. If your partner did not have STD when you had intercourse then you are unlikely to get another STD.

No med kills all: There are at least a dozen diseases than be transmitted  sexually including those best known as STD's.Some can be cured with meds and some not.Those that can be cured are not all cured by a single med.If you were treated with the right med for your STD, it may linger long enough to prevent re-infection by same germ for a few days, but unprotected exposure leaves you vulnerable to all the others.

STD rate: If your partner has an STD, some of which are not so obvious in men,  unprotected sex can of course cause the infection to be transmitted to you.  Condoms can protect against some STD's, but not all, and leakage can occur, which stops the protected effect.  Check with your gyn provider if you have pain or discharge, or other unusual symptoms.

Difficult to answer: It depends on the risk factor of your partner.  Does your partner have hiv? Does your partner have an std?  How many sexual partners does your partner have?  Does your partner use IV drugs like heroine.  If you are worried get tested with your family doctor or gyn.
