Yes: Staph infection can result in a kidney function (pyelonephritis).  When this is the case, it is possible that the infection spread from the bloodstream to the kidney ("hematogenous spread") instead of the usual means of infection ("ascending", via bacteria entering the urethra).

Still antibiotics...: If active infection forming abscesses etc..These should be surgically drained,  and oral antibiotic use just as with those without renal failure. The dosage/frequency of the medication/antibiotic may need to be adjusted based on the degree of kidney disease. Staph is a pretty nasty bug and so make sure u follow your doc as advised/regularly for monitoring. Best of luck to you.

Not very: It is very unlikely that any urine infection will be passed from one person to another. Nonetheless, and especially with certain kinds of staph, it is prudent to wash your hands whenever in contact with an infected person as the same staph may be present on the person's skin that is in the urine.

More complicated: Ok...Firstly what were you treated with..Zyvox, (linezolid) cubicin, vanco, imipenem..?  Some antibiotics have undesired side effects.  Checking the nose is a good idea because staph carriage occurs there.  Using hibbiclens (otc) 1-2 times a week will leave an invisible anti-bacterial film on your body thus decreasing the colony count.

Healing skin: Healing MRSA wound infections get less swollen, less red, begin to close up and the pus begins to diminish. There is an angriness to the tone of the skin with MRSA that subsides.

can i still take xinc oxide on staph infection?

Yeah.. but: the pill form won't help the infection in any way unless you have a severe zinc deficiency and even then....not much.
On the toher hand, zinc oxide is helpful on healing.
BUT you have to have an infection treated with antibiotics (and often surgical drainage) before that becomes relevant.

What kind of infecti: What is the diagnosis? Boil? Cellulitis? Erysipelas? Pneumonia? Paronychia? Ask the DR who is treating you.

Yes: If a boil or abscess is present a specimen of the drainage or pus can be sent to the lab and a culture of the organisms is made. If staph aureus is grown on the culture then next it is grown on a culture with methicillin to see if the methicillin will inhibit growth of the staph. If growth not inhibited the staph aureus is methicillin .Resistant.
