Better wound care: Are you being seen at a wound care center?  If not make sure you get referred to one. It also sounds you need to be under the care of an infectious disease physician.

Question unclear: I think you are asking why persons in your household get recurrent episodes of staph cellulitis, rather than disinfecting your house (which is not the problem).  Your doctor can use a combination of Mupirocin (bactroban) in your nose and daily washings with a soap containing Chlorhexidine (but you cannot wash with anything else), and every carrier will have to do this, only 50/50 success rate.

Bacterial resistance: The staph may be resistant to the antibiotics given.  A culture and sensitivity will help discern this.  The fact that the antibiotics have been alternated for two months tells me that your urologist is putting a good faith effort in to fighting this infection.  Make sure you follow up with the same urologist.  Also, the infection could be cleared but the inflammation still persists.

: You need to assume that staph is on almost any surface you come in contact with unless it has been sanitized recently. Many staph strains are friendly &amp; do not cause disease unless they gain entry through a break in the skin. Even then, some strains are not aggressive.

MRSA: Hi, mix 1/2 cup of Clorox in your lukewarm water of tub, bathe for 5 minutes twice a wk.
