sometimes in flaccid state penis shaft stays 1 inch in length. usually it is 3 inch's. why is this? what is wrong?

Accepted Answer

Nothing: The penis has the amazing ability to be 1-3 inches flaccid and 5-7 inches erect .  This is very normal.  As long as it works for the right occasion,  not to worry about size.

hardened vein from bottom to top (full length) of penile shaft during erection. discomfort during sexual intercourse. it's a smaller vein beside the main big vein?

: If both go away or become much smaller when not erect the veins are distended because the muscles in you veins contract so blood cannot get out of penis and that causes the erection. After orgasm or fatigue the muscles relax and blood flows out of penis. and veins are smaller because they are not damned up.  Never heard of a vein inside of a vein. A picture would be good to share with us/your Dr.

is the graphite in pencils hazardous to your health?

Accepted Answer

Not really.: Graphite is an intert and nontoxic material which will not harm your health. However, it can cause permanent pigmentation if left in place in a wound. Most commonly, a pencil tip in the skin won't cause any toxic problems, but if not removed and the wound properly cared for, dark "tattooing" pigmentation may remain permanently.

It may be permanent.: However, it will  fade with time

Unsure: if it is under the skin, can't "clean" it.  If solid piece of graphite might be able to remove is surgically in the office.  Sorry I could not be of more help.  Best of luck with this.  Dr R

Accepted Answer

Not dangerous: Pencil lead (graphite) often causes a gray or blue tattoo-like area. The spot would probably have to be cut out to get it to go away. It's not dangerous to leave it untreated.

i poked my skin with a pencil and i think graphite is stuck inside. should i just leave it in?

Accepted Answer

It depends: General rule of thumb: remove any foreign body from wounds. With a pencil, often one thinks there is something in the wound due to the tatooing  from the graphite. Look at the pencil to see if the point broke. If the point is intact usually just cleaning the wound and using an antibacterial ointmnet is sufficient, if you suspect the point is in the wound, treat it like a splinter.

No: Its fine to leave it be.

i just stabbed myself with a pencil (on accident of course, and it started bleeding just a drop. do i need to worry? (the graphite get stuck in the cut or anything, just left a mark?

Accepted Answer

: Rinse the area thoroughly with soap and warm water. It should  get better by tomorrow. If there is any foreign body, it should be felt. I have very little suspicion about any medical need but if the area remains sore after 48 hrs, please see the hand surgeon. Good luck. Hope it helps.

Accepted Answer

No: Not dangerous but this type of tattoo is probably Not removable. Be sure you can live with whatever sentiments it expresses.
