Sorry: I do not know what pst is but I do know what ssri is. This is a medical issue. There are many psychotropic medications that interfere with your libido. Check with a medical doctor such as a psychiatrist and see if your medication can be changed to something that will allow your libido to function normally.

No: Sexual side effects may resolve with changing to SSRI with less side effect or different antidepressant. Also sometimes side effect may improve by having sex before taking the medication

30-50%: Probably half of patients on ssri meds have at least mild decrease in libido or delay in orgasm.  Sometimes this improves with time. For males on ssris this sometimes means the speed of their response is more evenly matched with their female partners.

When stopped.: Usually any sexual disorder from a medication such as zoloft (sertraline) goes away after stopping the medication. Discuss this with the prescribing physician. There could be something else going on.

Not common but...: It happens and there is research. It's not common so if the depression is severe and not responsive to talk therapy, it might be a necessary risk. You'd get my approval if the depression is moderate or mild to try good psychotherapy alone and add Rx only if needed. Doubtful: How long have you been of the citalopram?  Can take upwards 6 mo sometimes to see full effect off the med.  At 38 could also be some early ED issues not related to SSRI use.  Discuss with your provider ED med trial (if no contraindications).  Hope this helps. Best of luck.  Dr R

i never had premature ejaculation before starting luvox (fluvoxamine). was on it for 3 yrs and pe developed after quitting it. is it post ssri sexual dysfunction?

Not likely: New premature ejaculation after stopping ssri's is thus far not a researched problem.  So, it's unknown how many (if any) people may have experienced this problem or the length of time it lasted.  I suggest reporting it to your physician, and seeing about other-than-pharmaceutical ways to deal with this.  Hoping you're doing well with the condition requiring Luvox (fluvoxamine) in the first place, too.

Very rare condition: Although sexual dysfunction is common with ssri's, it usually resolves after stopping the medication.  I would make sure you're not still depressed.  You're also taking viagra, one proposed treatment.  Off-label addition of wellbutrin (bupropion) is another possibility.
