It depends: A low-grade squamous cell carcinoma of the mouth metastatic to one neck lymph node may get a cure.  A low-grade lung cancer with bone metastases may kill in a few days by causing pneumonia, or be compatible with a few years' survival.  In real life, no physician says, "you have thus-and-so long to live".  I hope that you will cherish each day of life that you are given, living richly & loving well.

: While median survival time is commonly listed at 6 to 9 months, I have seen survivors as well as patients declining even faster. There are more variables involved, from performance status, comorbidities to actual spread and mutations found that will be amenable to newer treatments. Your oncologist remains your best reference as discussing prognosis in your current context.

Can be: Squamous cell cancer in advanced untreated forms can be life threatening.  It can be locally aggressive by invading critical structures and can also rarely metastasize to distant organs. Some scc like head and neck locations have a high rate of lymph node spread.  Purely skin scc is less dangerous overall than melanoma but still requires timely treatment.

Subtype of cancer: It only means-a subtype of cancer. Nothing much. The treatment, prognosis etc- will depend on  where is this cancer located primarily? , what is the stage ( how big it is? Any lymph node or adjacent tissue involvement? Any spreading to distant organ? Etc. 
If you smoke tobacco and drink alcohol- you need to quit. Please discuss in detail with your oncologist.

Depends: Surgery cut for cure may not be reasonable if the cancerous tissue is on face or other visible area. Edufex is indicated for this use and is a good choice. Expect some reddened (angry looking) tissue in treated area. If you are concerned after treatment, a biopsy can still be performed. Good luck

Yes: Every case needs to addressed individually as to site, lymph node or organ involvement. Once removed, an oncologist will help plan a treatment course.

Nothing: Even in the lung, squamous cell carcinomas are usually silent until they have become large enough to cause coughing up of blood -- one of  the common ways in which it announces itself.  On the skin, of course, a growing mass with a rough surface is (depending on how it looks) likely to be a squamous skin cancer; these are usually easy to cure. Good luck.
