See Pediatrician: There is no way to diagnose 'white spots' on tongue over the internet. Please take your toddler to the pediatrician for a personal exam. It may be normal or it may require treatment (if it's candidiasis/thrush or something else).

Tricky: dermatologic conditions are hard to discuss without seeing them., but white spots often are normally present on the tongue. The only common std associated with kissing (herpes) just doesn't sound anything like that:
it's red blistery
somewhat sore on the outside at the edges of the lips
and it's unlikely to first occur in teen years.

Possible allergies: Typical allergic reactions that affect the mouth and tongue lead to itching and swelling.  Red spots without itching may be a different issue.  An examination by a physician can help sort this out.

: You are right that a number of infections could affect the tongue and cause inflammation. It may be important to make sure of adequacy of your nutrition especially micronutrients could also cause pain like vitamin deficiencies. There is increased demand and depletion of vitamins during illnesses. Avoid smoking, alcohol, and spicy food may be helpful in limiting the pain and speed recovery.

Spots or vessels: Blood spots or fragile blood vessels? Bleeding anywhere else? History of bad nosebleeds in you or family? Did ENT advise/suggest/order any blood tests, clotting tests, etc? Did ENT suggest you see medical doc, or hematologist (blood specialist)? Did ENT say you have increased abnormal blood vessels (osler-weber-rendu syndrome, hereditary hemorrhagic telangiectasias) in nose or mouth, or elsewhere?

keep getting tiny blood blister spots on tongue. they last ~ 1 day unless i pop them sooner. could this have be connected to my ongoing bloody stool? had cscope 10d ago w/macro inflam but bx normal?

Could be related: Check with your doctor to rule out other possibilities. Blister on tongue-- recurrent-- could be viral in origin-- ie coxsackie or herpes. However inflammatory bowel disease ( ie crohns or ulcerative colitis) can present with such blisters. Then autoimmune diseases ( like lupus) can involve oral ulcers and bowel inflammation. Your doctor should help rule out all of above.

That's a need for MD: This may be streptococcal, but best solution would be to have this examined by a professional (family doctor), and throat cultured and assessed.
