Spirulina: Keep total daily protein intake between 0.6 and 0.8 gm per kg body wt per day.  Spirulina is not so dense as to be a heavy or high source of protein.  And, plant protein is less straining than animal protein for kidneys

Less purines!: Soy protein does not contain the dna content of meat, hence less purines, which are converted into uric acid, the cause of gouty arthritis. Soy protein deoes not mirror the Amino Acid content of animal protein, so comparatively, whey protein from milk is better. The protein effiency index of soy is less than whey. Nutritional support may be necessary, if avoiding meat-b12, zinc, iron.

"Whey" better!: Both are good but whey, derived from milk protein is better.  Soy is from soy beans, the prteins that mimic the Amino Acid composition best are better. Soy protein has only 70% of the efficiency of whey protein. I enjoy both!

Maybe not really: It depends on the type of soy fermented vs non fermented and the amount consumed. In order to raise estrogen one needs to take a lot of soy daily. However in general estrogen deficiency is not very common but Progesterone deficiency very common.
