No: Usually beetles do not bite people.  There is a beetle that secretes a sticky substance that will cause blisters if you touch it, the blister beetle.  I am not aware of any other beetle rashes or bites.

my son is 5 and he says he was bitten by a beetle, now both of his forearms have rashes on them, could it be from a bite?

Unusual, see Peds: It would be odd to have just both forearms involved in a rash from an insect bite, so is likely something else that caused that (like crawling around through something?). Cannot say over internet, needs exam by pediatrician to get good clinical impression and treatment plan.

Chagas disease: If you were bitten in north america it is extremely unlikely that you will contract chagas disease.  The prevalence of the disease here is just too low.  Some will develop an ulcer at the site of the bite. Parasitemia is easily demonstrated with blood smears or pcr.

Tick bite?: make sure it is not any other insect like a tick! and watch out for  the rash and have it checked.
If the rash does not clear from application with ice.it could be any other insect.like a wasp or bee.and she could be reacting to it

In general, 'beetles' are not allergenic insects.  However, it is possible that they are associated with another type of insect that is allergenic (like dust mites - very common in your area).

Harmless: From my limited research they are the only Beetles that make a distinctive clicking sound.. I suppose a whole bunch of them could cause a cacophony similar to an invasion of frogs or locusts. I would simply put them back in the woods. Enjoy Nature.

Yes, in principle : You will need to determine if you truly have carpet beetle infestation. Next you will need to present your allergy findingd to either your dermatologist and/or allergist.
