Arthritis: If it's simply wear and tear osteoarthritis,  diet doesn't play a significant role. Some people get relief from taking glucosamine and chondroitin. If no improvement after 3 months, I don't feel that it's worthwhile continuing it.

Depends on type: 150 types of arthritis. Gout is  affected by diet (prot., purines, alcohol); rheumatoid maybe modestly affected by  amt and type of fat intake. High fat and omega 6 (land fats) can increase body's chemical mediators of inflammation; lower fat and omega 3 (marine oils) lower them.  Flax/walnuts nahclinical effect? Maybe; couldn't hurt. Doesn't take the place of meds. Cherries don't stop gout attacks.

Some people have sensitivities to certain foods which can flare the joints. The best way to find which foods make your symptoms worse is to eliminate one food at a time and then reintroduce it.

Anti-infl herbs include turmeric, ginger, rosemary & many more.  Zyflamend is a good herbal anti-inflammatory.  Try same 400 - 1600 mg/ day (not with bipolar or prostate cancer) must be taken with b-complex.  Glucosamine helps. All take time.

Food has little effe: Food has little or no effect on arthritis. But there is considerable fatigue associated with rheumatoid type of arthritis ..So some foods like coffee and team may provide a bit of extra energy to allow you to move around better.
