i hit my knuckle about a week ago. its still hurting, a little bruised & sunken a bit. when i move it, it grinds. also sore in wrist & elbow?

Fracture: You should get an X-ray to make sure the joint is aligned and not fractures.  You could quite possibly fractured that joint/knuckle.

HSV 1: I am not aware of herpes simplex type i affecting the wrist it often is found on  the lips, skin around  mouth, nose, chin, mouth, cheeks, & even eye or genitalia.

how can i prevent cramping/soreness in arms/wrists?

Cramping: Eating potassium rich foods , increasing your intake of vitamin c, drinking plenty of fluids, gentle stretching, massaging, heating pad, hot shower or bath, and or ice to the affected area are common treatment options for cramps. Relax a cramped muscle by taking it thru range of motion. Consult your doctor if cramps persist as they may be secondary to a medical or neurological condition.

i have some soreness in my wrist that comes & goes mostly near the thumb & pinky but sometimes radiates to my elbow & knuckles. what could this be?

Overuse: tendonitis. Most OTC mediciations for inflammation,plus a wrist support will help.

Not typical: Carpal tunnel is isolated to the wrists and is not typically associated with night sweats or tingling in the feet. It sounds as if you need a physical exam and laboratory testing to figure out the cause of your symptoms, .

Depends: Sore wrists sometimes need rest rather than exercise. Slowly moving them in circles and pulling gently up, down and side to side will help to stretch out the wrist ligaments and tendons if they are feeling tight.
