Herpangina: You have either herpangina or acute leukemia. It's probably not the latter but a low neutrophil count that occurs in certain immune system cancers like leukemia can present with the kinds of symptoms that you are describing. Don't panic. Things often sound worse in their description than they are on inspection. You do need to see your physician for a complete history & physical examination.

i had a sore throat with white spots and also sores on my gums. couldn't eat solid foods for week bc of pain. blood work ruled out stds and not strep?

Thrush: A sore throat with white spots and sores on your gums sounds like thrush. Blood tests can rule out some but not all STDs. A specific test is necessary to rulr out chlamydia and gonorrhea. The other possibility is a viral infection. You need to discuss these possibilities with the person who you have been seeing to know which is going on in your case. Hope this helps.

what causes canker sores & sore throat? i have canker sores on my gums, under tongue & sore throat after eating spicy pork rinds, cherries, garlic nuts.

Avoid those foods: Your complaint is very common and the simple answer is to avoid those foods!  canker sores occur as a reaction to some types of allergens, such as citrus fruits, walnuts, chocolate, and many others i could mention!  i don't usually mention products but patients who use rembrandt canker sore toothpaste don't get canker sores anymore!

i have multiple canker sores in my mouth some on my front gum have left scars those are feeling better but i also have one on my uvula and on one of my tonsils i also have a sore throat and draining nose as well as inflamed tonsils?

: It's obvious that you're dealing with more than canker sores in view of the apparent tonsillitis. This requires a rapid throat culture to check for strep which,if present,requires oral antibiotics. It may all be a viral infection,though. I doubt infectious mononucleosis at this time.  See your physician and get tested. Treatment advice will also be given to relieve mouth sores and nasal congestion

Sensitive cinnamon: Many people are sensitive to cinnamon and can get mouth sores or even sore throat. I have seen patients react to even cinnamon gum. Just avoid it and it will year in.

Accepted Answer

Sore throat: A hole in the gum is suggestive of a primary problem with the teeth.  I could represent a cavity of the tooth with erosion of bone and early abscess formation.  It could be from a tooth socket that is communicating with the sinuses.  Either way, you really need to see a dentist and possibly and ENT if there is involvement of the upper or lower jaw bone and possibly sinuses if in the upper jaw.

The other way around: Gum disease is usually caused by bacterial or viral infection . At one point it could spread down to the throat causing what we call strep throat or sore throat

i recently performed oral and two days later and i have gum boils and a sore throat. i'm hoping it's just a cold?

Get checked: In the absence of any other cold symptoms such as cough, congestion, runny nose, sneezing, headache, fever, etc., i would be very concerned about std, which you absolutely can get in your mouth after oral sex. You should get tested, and use a dental dam or other barrier in the future.
