i was spray painting without a mask and soon after i developed a sore throat and scratchy voice . is there any otc remedies that i can take ?

Rest and time: You are reacting to the fumes from spray paint.  You have a scratchy and sore throat.  Rest and time shoyld help.  Always use a well ventilated area.  A proper mask will work on the chemicals and is expensive and requires proper fitting.  Over time it should improve.

i have had a sore throat for a week now. i am wondering if the painting that i did last weekend, without proper ventilation, would cause a sore throat?

Though it seems: possible, it is not likely.  Unless you somehow ingested the paint, inhaling paint fumes should not cause a sore throat.  Sometimes you can get asthma or reactive airway disease from inhaling paint fumes.  You likely have sore throat from a viral or bacterial infection.  Take some ibuprofen and if things get worse, see a healthcare provider for proper examination and diagnosis.

i developed a sore throat the day after painting the inside of a home. the area was not super well ventilated, so i'm wondering if the sore throat is related to the fumes from the indoor paint? what can i do to relieve the sore throat?

: Maybe/not. This could be an inhalant exposure or an unrelated new illness. Using throat lozenges or gargling with salt water may quell any emerging symptoms. If they increase over time with no re-exposure, consider it an infection and get checked if needed.

Yes: Inhaling spray paint fumes causes irritation to the lining of the airway, and that includes giving you a sore throat as well as lung and nose symptoms. You may also have eye irritation, headaches, nausea, vomiting. There are long term effects as well.

Yes...he : Yes...He should be seen by his pediatrician to be tested for strep.  Keep him well hydrated.

Examination: If sore throat caused by virus an antibiotic will not cure. You've tried treating yourself and that didn't work. can sore throat phenol oral anesthetic spray be swallowed?

Anestheic oral spray: The anesthetic oral spray is meant to work locally on the area you are spraying it on. It is not meant to be swallowed. In general, you don't  to swallow it, as it numbs the voice box area and esophagus and increases your chance of aspiration. Having said that, if you swallow a small amount, it will wear off within a half hour and you can resume eating and drinking.  Reaction is a rare possibility.
