Possibly: Tears are nature's cleaner.  They wash irritants off the surface of the eye. That is one reason we water when something gets in the eye. But tears alone will not heal the root cause of itching or sore eyes.  An eye doctor can evaluate the reason for the irritation and provide treatment options for you.

Blepharitis?: Sound like the skin and facial irritation may be linked to the eye problems - possibly blepharitis or rosacea.  Eyelid hygiene with warm compresses and scrubs can help as well as short courses of topical or oral antibiotics.  See your ophthalmologist for extra help.

Conjunctivitis : Conjunctivitis (also known as pink eye) can be caused by a viral infection, bacterial infection, allergic reaction, foreign body in the eye, or chemical irritation.  The most common symptoms in one or both eyes are redness, itchiness, discharge or crusting, and tearing.  A doctor will be able to narrow down which type your child has.  Both viral and bacterial conjunctivitis are very contagious - up to 2 weeks after symptoms start!  it is important to see your doctor for proper treatment not only to help your child improve faster, but to protect others from catching it, too.

In the mean time, good hand washing is a must to prevent the spread of it to the rest of the family.  Also, applying warm, clean, wet compresses to the eyes can alleviate some of the discomfort and help clean some of the discharge out of the eyes.

Tactupump: hi, both medications inside Tactupump are very irritant for eyes, the gel should not be worn in eyes, lips, corner of nose and mouth. If u accidentally touch ur eyes while having the gel on ur fingers, rinse ur eyes with cold water, if no improvement please see an Eye MD for evaluation.

i have sore, watery eyes. they are slightly red. the pharmacist gave me universal eye drops which dont seem to be working. please advise what i should do?

Any allergies?: Dust, wind, sun or smoke exposure could be the cause, you can try with red eyes drops a few days and of course avoiding any exposure if you don’t feel any better please see your doctor

Time: Most viral conjunctivitis resolves on its own.  Depending on the cause, ophthalmologists can help you.  Otherwise supportive therapy for a few weeks like artificial tears, hand hygiene, etc.

Hard to assess: The two issues are likely a coincidence. The actual cause or label for the type of bump would require a direct visual exam if not some testing. If it bothers you have the kid seen.

COVID 19: This may or maynot be COVID 19. Rest, hydrate, quarantine &amp; eat healthfully. Consider use of acetaminophen, saline for nasal irrigation, decongestant or cough syrup. Get urgent care for difficulty breathing, blue lips, marked persistent chest pain/ pressure or new onset confusion. If you live in ZA you would need a medical assessment for a testing refeeral in US policies differ by state.
