i had a large, sore bump on the back of my head 4 weeks ago. it is still there now but is teeny tiny, like an indentation. still sore. should i worry?

Prob OK: Bumps or masses can be from many things.  If you ha trauma it is most likely blood.  If you did not it possible an lymph node or infection.  If it is getting smaller with a residual small bump it is ok.  But if you think it is getting larger you should see a doctor about it.

Exam needed: This could be a pilonidal cyst that is causing the pain.
The only way to confirm this is with an exam
Until you get the exam, try some warm moist packs to the area.

Tongue lesion: Any pain/bleeding/swelling in the oral cavity that has not completely self healed within 2 weeks of onset must be evaluated. Please see Dentist, specialist Oral Pathologist, specialist Oral Surgeon, Physician, or Specialist ENT immediately.

last night i hit my head due to a fall. it swelled up immediately and was sore but now it is the next day and i am not feeling any physical symptoms such as nausea or headaches. there is a small indentation that is red but that is it. do i need a doc?

: Closed head injuries are common and usually superficial.  A localized scalp hematoma ("goose egg") is very frequent and does not require medical care.  Progressive headaches, nausea and vomiting, blurred or double vision, dizziness, and imbalance could require seeing your doctor.  If your fall was sudden and unexplained, you would need help.

Get examined: This could be the residua of an old boil like infection, and it may be somewhat sensitive but should not be significantly tender. It's best to have your physician examine this area for you to be sure.

No.: Pain and tenderness in the buttocks are not necessarily associated with "growth" and could be the result of trauma, inflammation, or other triggers not related to enlargement.  If you have a soreness that persists without explanation, it would be good to see a physician or visit a clinic and have an examination and history taken.  Hope that this helps.

Usually Sore Muscles: Muscle pain after workout is common but if it's in muscles you use all the time it can take a little longer.  Two weeks is not unusual.  Sometimes sitting in hot tub helps.

If it's not getting better and lasting too long get checked.

Pain: We would have no idea since we dont know what you weigh but if you are really 37 years old, this wouldn't be something that just started happening unless you just went through an extreme weight loss. If the pain is constant when you sit, even on a cushion, you may have nerve or muscle inflammation and would benefit from seeing your doctor.

Doctor can examine: For inflammation at the Achilles' tendon near the heel, some people take Motrin for a few days to decrease inflammation, decrease their sports activities, and use a cold pack on the area after activities. Using a good arch support with a heel cushion may help, along with gentle calf stretches. Of course, one should first see her primary care, orthopedic, or sports medicine doctor to get diagnosed.
