Globus: Globus sensation is feeling of something stuck in throat.  It is a common complaint that usually doesn't reveal something actually physically stuck, but does indicate that 'something' is going on that stimulates the nerves and causes the phantom sensation.  Usually it's related to acid reflux.  You can test with OTC antacid like Maalox or Pepto-Bismol to see if it goes away, otherwise see ENT.

Reflux: There are many things that can cause a globus sensation (something in throat). One common cause is reflux. You should definitely be evaluated by your physician to rule out other causes should your symptoms persist!

on a recheck of my thyroid and i noticed my thyroid size is going up my isthmus when up from normal .21 from 2019 to 2.7 in 2021 and 3 mm in 23. thyroid rl 4.7 and 4.1 i have complaints about feeling like something stuck in throat when shallowing?

: You should check with the doctor who ordered the test for interpretation. If there is concern about the thyroid, you can see an endocrine doctor for evaluation. You should also have thyroid function tests done. Good luck to you!

Can be ...: If you "feel" that there is something "stuck" there but not really i.e. You are not drooling saliva, then yes, this symptom, called globus sensation, can be an extra-intestinal manifestation of gerd.  If food really is getting stuck, then you need to see an GI specialist quick and get scoped to make sure it is nothing serious.

Tonsil stone?: A frequent cause for this type of symptom is a collection of debris or food particles in the small pockets of the tonsils.  These are known as tonsil stones and can be associated with bad breathe.  If there is a stone present, then try to dislodge it with a q-tip or water pick.  These are not dangerous, but more of a nuisance.  If the symptom persists, then it would be best to consult and ENT doc.

Globus sensation: The sensation of lump in the throat in the absence of physical findings like thyroid issues is often related to underlying anxiety or tension. Once other cause are eliminated a globus diagnosis is considered. Literature is replete with "lump in throat" sensation when stressed. Related to contracture if cricopharyngeus muscle

Swallow ok?: Most important question is can you swallow without trouble? If not, then see your dr. sooner rather than later. This feeling can be due to reflux, constriction or even anxiety. The thyroid gland sits outside the throat, on the front part of the neck and I would want you to get examined to see that this is not enlarged too.

Get an exam: It sounds like you're otherwise healthy, but it's concerning set of symptoms.  Needs in-person evaluation. You should have an exam to rule out something with your thyroid, or a herniated disc in your neck.  I would see someone within a week or two if you can.

That feeling : Sometimes arises from the fact that the mouth is so dry.  If that is a factor, consider using an oral system like biotene (available everywhere) to help.  Hope this helps.
