No worry: if does not become bigger. The most common cause for lumps on the ear cartilage is trauma.

Lipoma or a cyst: A lipoma is just a collection of fat cells that feels like a lump under the skin  a cyst is like a gland, sometimes it can get blocked and fill with fluid.  Both can be found anywhere on the skin.

i have clear sticky fluid dripping from my ears and it burns my outer ear and i have hearing loss and lumps just under the ears too?

See ENT doctor: You have an infection on your ear and it is imperative that you see an ENT doctor for evaluation and treatment to prevent further hearing loss.
Wish you good health! - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Drink enough water daily, so that your urine is mostly colorless. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco, alcohol, weed or street drugs in any form. 
Practice safe sex, if you have sex.

22mth son has a large solid fixed lump on right side of neck below his ear. looks like half a golf ball when he turns his head. doesn't seem poorly?

Normal? probably not: Are headaches normal? Well no, but it can be a common complaint. So, are solid lumps under the ear normal? Probably not, although there may be a reasonable explanation. Since you have had this since childhood, most likely this is not dangerous; however, since you are uncertain as to what this is, it deserves an answer. To determine the answer, you truthfully need to specifically ask your doctor.

Sounds: like a "left over" partially calcified lymph gland from a prior "Swimmer's Ear" infection ("External Otitis")

Ear cartilage pain : Have your doctor look at it.  It could be chondrodermatitis nodularis helicis which is related to degeneration and inflammation of the cartilage. Other possibilities include a cyst or other growth.

Benign or malignant?: See dermatologist or surgeon for biopsy to remove it and send to pathology. Physical exam may reveal other lumps so a more thorough work up will be indicated.
Could be a benign sebaceous cyst or something more serious.
